That’s right. You read that correct. You can improve your performance in any area of your life using visualization.

Its called “mental rehearsal”, and its a process by which you can program your self to act in a certain way in a certain situation.

You think of a certain situation, and you act the way you want to act while you’re experiencing that particular situation.

You stand the way you want to stand as your in that situation. You fix your face the way you want it to be. You can even pretend that the people you will be dealing with are in the room with you now, a few feet away. Use the tone of voice NOW that you want to use then.

Muhhamed Ali used mental rehearsal to prepare for his fights. Actors use mental rehearsal as they read through their scripts. We use mental rehearsal unconsciously when we think about that meeting with xxx.

Mental rehearsal is a simple way you can give powerful suggestions to your subconscious mind.

Remember, your unconscious mind, the part of you that is awake 24/7, the part of you that controls all of your autonomic functions for you, the part of you that holds all of your memories – is highly suggestible.

During the beginning phases of sleep, as you close your eyes and lay there, with your body starting to relax, you are naturally coming into a deeply relaxed state, from which you can give your unconscious mind suggestions more easily.

As you physically relax all your muscles, you automatically start to relax your mind, and you start to communicate with your subconscious mind more easily. This is a two way communication, meaning you can ask your subconscious mind for solutions to problems and you can give your-self suggestions. Cool, right?

When you talk to “your-self”, you are literally talking to your subconscious mind.

When you talk to yourself while looking in the mirror, you’re talking to your subconscious mind.

The “mirror talk” method is a excellent way to give your self suggestions, and also help you direct your focus and attention to the eyes of the people you speak with. It also helps you to notice your facial expressions as you say certain things. A very good method for personal development and feedback.
